Im picking up my new 4,500 truck monday. Im new to chevy diesel performance. Are the best first mods like my powerstroke(tuner, intake, exhaust and gauges)? i pull a 53' trailer with 2 race cars, pit box and all the misc stuff. Are there any items that need to be addreesed to make the truck last modded and towing all the time. Last but where can i get the mods i mentioned at the top. Sorry for the newbie Q

Thanks

may want to look into a tranny as well. if you plan on running high hp mods, especially when towing. there are several supported dealers for all the mods on this web site.

the tranny is needed for any added power over 65hp on the dmax. the allison is a great tranny for towing, especially stock. just when you add any hp over 65hp, it is a wise idea to get a tranny so you aren't left stranded. many folks have limped their trannys, without towing, just with added hp over 65 additional hp.

i have the diablosport tuner, from predator, and run it on the 40hp tune for towing. otherwise i run the 65hp tune for daily driving. every once in awhile i run the 85hp and 100hp tunes. but revert back down so i don't limp the tranny too fast. hp is very addicting once you add it and play around. i am waiting to get my tranny upgrade until i get over the 100k mile mark, which should be around Sept or so this year.

just food for thought.

All i really would like to do is get a good tow program, free flowing exhaust, deeper tranny pa if it is needed,a open intake, and a good set of gauges. Its just i dont know if the diesel people sell these for the 4,500's like mine since there arent a lot of them in demand for parts
