Thinking Of Purchasing A 4" Cat Back Mbrp Exaust For 07lbz. Will The Performance Improvent Be Worth The Cost. I Know The Mbrp Has To Flow Better Even With A Cat. Will Be Able To Tell The Difference Or Is It Just Noiser.

A cat back exhaust is going to produce about 60% of the gain a turbo back system will. Most of the horsepower and torque gains are mad with the cat back section, as the muffler is the largest restriction in the exhaust. MBRP, Silverline, Diamond Eye or Magnaflow will all work, it's just up to price point from there.

Yes, you will see a 100-150 deg. EGT drop with a cat-back exhaust kit. You can always add a front-pipe later if you feel you need more. Let me know if I can help with anything.

You won't burn up your turbo, but your dealer might give you a hard time about it. You do have the Magnusson/Moss Warranty act to protect you, the dealer has to prove your part is what caused the damage before voiding the warranty.

Sorry if this is a stupid question but do you gain most of the power from the muffler change or the increase in size of the pipe. The stock pipe is 3.5".

Most of the gain is from the removal of the cat.

Removing the cat made a big difference for me. It will probably cause warranty problems because you are tampering with the emmissions system.

I tall depends on the dealership for warranty. Some care, some dont.
The biggest gains are from the cat back system.
