I believe that the lower ball joint on my 2001 silverado are bad. Is the following package a good way to go?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/01-04-Silverado-Sierra-2500-HD-Ball-Joint-Tie-Rod-Link_W0QQitemZ190294310744QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotor s_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item2c4e6cbf58&_trksid=p4506.m20.l1116

If I have to do the lower I was thinkling I should change everything, what do you think? I have a shimmy when goijng over bumps and a constant bounce at 50 mph. I have had new tires and had them ballanced 5 times. I also took the spair out and put it on each tire position and the bounce never changed.

That is a great price. I payed more than that for just a pitman and idler arm in the past.

As for the quality of the parts, I have no idea. Maybe somebody on here has experience with this brand. I wouldn't want to be changing them all again in a year even if you could get them warrantied.

I agree...it looks like a great deal!https://www.chrome-scene.com/smileys/36/1242750956/smile.gif:)

Re-doing everything is probably the best way to go.

It says it is life time. I should ask what if one goes out. If I have to replace it it would not be good. This is a pita.

Do you know where to get the ball joints pressed in?

Anybody ever use this brand or this seller before? I need ball joints and tierods. And am tempted to buy this kit. But, I don't want to buy junk even if I can get it warrantied.

I have been planning to spend around $500 and get the cognito tierods and new moog ball joints. But I am really debating going this much cheaper route.

I am wondering how good these are, I read his page and it seems that they must be cheap ones for that price, maybe I'll just get the lowers moog.

That is a good price for the parts, but I think you're only going to get what you pay for here and even if he is giving you a lifetime warranty on the parts, you still have to take out the defective part and send it back to him, which could possibly mean more labor costs to get the defective part(s) out of your truck. "The bitterness of cheap quality remains long after the sweetness of low prices are gone". Even though the numbers look like Moog, Moog makes a cheap line of parts as well as their "Problem Solver" line. Personally, If you want the best quality name parts, I would use Spicer Professional chassis parts, I've used both Moog & Spicer extensively and I'd take Spicer over Moog anyday of the week. You won't get them for the price of the stuff you've seen on Ebay, but their light years better than the stuff that guy is selling. Rock Auto has the cheapest prices on Spicer parts that I've seen. Check them out.

We have advance auto here, the moog were 50 each but they also have trw and they were 36 plus I get a 10% discount there. Moog makes TRW.

You can buy the Spicer Uppers for $40.00 Ea(Part#5001104)and the Spicer Lowers for $35.00 Ea(Part#5051273)from Rock Auto. The Spicer is the better Ball Joint.

good point, let me get these off, I think trw/moog/spice are all about the same, my stock just didn't have the grease fitting. What have you seen that you think spice are better? I need to ship them in and the cost is more, the others I can just pick up.

I've used both and done a side by side comparison of the Moog and Spicer. Spicer is just a better built ball joint and have lasted much longer on my vehicles. In fact I used to use Moog exclusively because everybody said they were so great. That was until I switched to using Spicer. I got much longer service life with the Spicer. To me, Moog is way overated.
