just picked up a 2002 3500 4x4 with an 8.1 I am curious if anyone has tried to fit regular rims on a duallies front end? why is the dually front rim soo negatively offset? and last question, what is the tallest tire that will fit on a stock height truck without rubbing? thanks in advance

not sure on the rim fitment, and usley the tallest tire would be around 285, or 305 depending on rim size and the with of the rim, more people will chim in and :welcome:

There is a guy running regular wheels on the front on here. Dont remember his name though. But probily just remove the front wheel spacers and bolt em right up. Then you could run the same tires as a SWR truck. I ran a 305/70/16 on a 03 Z71 and they barly rubbed.

The front rims are that way so you don't need two different types of spare tires.

Also works good if you rotate front to back:)

THANKS FOR THE REPLIES. I was thinking of getting a set of 17 kmc rockstar wheels but I didn't really like the look of the front rim they had for duallies. I think I might have to try this.

I don't know what wheels they are running. But there is a comany called Starworks that makes custom double beadlock wheels and they told me that they can make a dually wheel. That black truck is a Offroad Unlimited truck. Believe there member name is ORU. Mabey they'll tell ya where they got the wheels.
