: injector options???

So I have more soot from the exhaust than I like at idle. The last time I had this prolem I had three failing injectors. I took the truck back to the dealership expecting to get some injectors replaced. Well GM changed the policy I guess. I have to wait until the injectors show fuel return before they will replace them. I did some seachng on hnere and found others that are having the same issue getting their injectors replaced. I also did a search tryinh to find a good aftermarket injector. I was thinking that maybe I could get some 100+ HP injectors and the problem will go away and I wont have to deal with it. From what I have read it sounds like after market injectors may have the same issue as OEM injectors. I am thinking that it may be time to trade up and get a new truck.

On that note does anyone know if the MAG-Hytec tranny pan and diff covers will fit on the new trucks? If I trade it in I will pull my gauges, shocks, tranny pan and diff covers off and put the stock parts back on. Well, I have some rancho RS 9000 shocks I can put back on the truck when I remove the race runners.

On a side note I plan on calling GM because I got copy of my gm service summary and it says that all 8 injectors were replaced in 2007. My paper work says that only three were replaced and I confirmed this with the dealer.I wonder if GM paid the dealership for all 8 injectors and I only got three. I say they owe me 5 injectors. I asked the dealership about this and they told me that at that time there were only two codes they could use. One was for balance rates and the other was for fuel return which by default read as 8 injectors being replaced but they only got paid for three because that is all they had to return to GM. Does this soud like BS to anyone else? If they used the code for fuel return and it reads by default that they should replace all 8 injectors then they should have replaced all 8 injectors right?

Thanks,
