: need to cover stacks in rain? RedLMM 05-26-2009, 07:43 PM i just installed a set of 6 inch smokers on my old mans duramax and i told him he should cover the stacks in the rain when he's not driving it he looked at my like i was crazy....i've always seen big trucks cover their stacks so why not right? buildingup 05-26-2009, 08:04 PM If the trucks going to stand for a good amount of time I would. But if its driven daily or close to don't worry about it. Could also drill an 1/8" hole at the bottome of the elbow under the truck and never put stack covers on....
