Bad news!! I was pulling up at the farm today spun my duals in the grass. I was turning going up a small incline. POW POW is all I heard. I really think my locker is going out. One dual was spinning and the other was not. I have never heard this on my 3500. My truck has right at 40,000 miles on it now. I really hope it is under power train warranty. Has any one had any problem out of their rear-end?

I just had my whole carriage assembly replaced. It started making noises and vibrating in reverse. The dealer replaced it with no issue from them.

Vibrating? My truck been vibrating a long time! It really vibrates when I have my 40' goose neck with a small load. Wonder if it is from that?

i've heard where to much play or vibration in the rear end could damage the tranny. might want to get it looked at asap.

I going to get Big-D out of shop tomorrow. I was told I needed to change the Diff fluid out every 15000 miles. It is really past due big time. The service manager informed me that was the only problem. I draw a B/S line!!! Has any one heard of having to change the fluid that soon? Not in the service manual.

Manual of my 04 says first diff service is 100k. However I still change to AMSOIL at 30k. I call serious BS.

I brought mine back to the shop for the second time. Diesel tech says nothing wrong. I can't wait till he takes a test ride with me. He tried to tell me to drive my truck in circles to unlock the locker. I had to explain to him it was NOT locking. I think he just LAZY and don't know what the H^&& he doing!!! I had to tell him what was wrong with my truck when the DPF sensor messed up. He was wanting to replace the turbo and other items. (Alternator, injectors)
