As you can see in my sig, I have a dmax. It has been running great. However my dad just bought a 2005 dmax because his 6.0 Ford powerstroke gave him tranny problems. Now I think the Allison is crapping out on us with just 5,000 miles on it. Unloaded, it drives just like mine does and operates normal. It's a different sroty when you hook an 8,000 lb. skidloader to it. When you go to start off from a stop, the whole truck shakes pretty severly. The motor isn't bucking at all. Once you get past 7-8 mph, all is well. The torque converter acts normal once you get going. This is happening in tow haul mode or without tow haul. Just wanted to see what you guys think it is before I go and take it to the dealer. BTW it is all stock. Thanks

My 2001 3500 W/8.1L & Allision exibited these characteristics when starting out with my 14,000 lb 5th wheel and there was a bulletin to reprogram the pcm and to replace the two piece driveshaft with a one piece driveshaft. The driveshaft replacement repaired the problem

My old 77 gasser did the same thing with a 2 piece shaft.
I'm with 185DVS on this one!
