I am in Grand Isle La. fishing, and went to go to the store and the truck won't start. I can jump the starter over and the thing wil whirl over fine but wont start. I can shoot a little either in and it will fire and die as soon as it runs out of either. It is like something is wrong with the security system. It turns everything on, but when you turn the key nothing. If nothing else does anyone know where a good dealer is around here?

Stay away from the starting fluid..You need to have the ECM flashed at the dealer..Time for a TOW.

Did you ever have the reflash ?

Sounds like a key switch issue to me, it's turning on the accessories but nothing else. It is an '08, so i am going to guess you are still in the first year, so push the Onstar button and let them give you the road side assistance you paid for.

There was a up-date just over 1 year ago, just before Memorial Day on a issue with the security system and the truck not starting.
Did you get the re-flash???

The closest dealer to you is probably in Houma. just take Hwy 1 to LaRose, take a left on 24, and follow that to houma. I dont know how good the dealer there is but it will be the closest.

I have had one take off on me while shooting ether into it. It will wake you up for sure.

i have the same problem that you do, took it to the shop 3 times for no cranking issue. they still do not know whats wrong with it. sometime if you keep playing with it for about 15 mins straight it will crank up. hope they are able to fix yours.

i agree that it's going to need a ecm reflash they had a recall on the ecm progamming causing a no start ..

sounds like a bad cp3 i had that problem once
