I drive like a grandma, and on the first shift into 2 gear sometimes I get a surge or jerk at about 1800 rpm. it will only do this 1 maybe 2 times when cold. It has done this for a while (2 yrs) no big deal, thought it was just a cold tranny, because it will do it more often in the winter. This past weekend it did it in tow/haul and loaded with 16,000 lbs+, felt like I was going to twist the drive shaft in two becasuse of the jerkyness. It dosent always do it however, maybe once a week maybe once a month, tranny spin has 3k on it with transdyne drain/refill, fuel filter has 1k, do I need to look into have my taps reset? or is this an allison charateristic.

The tap reset would fix it...or they did for me.
