Brief story...
I have a 05 2500HD 6.0 Gasser. ( i know buy a diesel).. I have the after market keys cranked 2 inches and 1.5 inch blocks in ther rear with airbags and bilstien 5100. 285's on 16x8..
The other day i was doing some offroading on some long dirt roads going about 40mph or so then hit a section of whoops and after the 3rd whoop the truck launched in the air, yes if came off the ground i would say a couple feet in the air, HOLY CRAP.... But actually it landed so smooth no bounce at all.. so the next day i here a clinking clunk sound up front , its not repetitive so its not in the drive line, ( i think) but when i first give it gas of when i first apply the breaks... When i crawled under the truck and look nothing was loose at all, BUT i noticed the Torsion Bar adjustment Bolt was bent between the key itself and the adjustment nut. WTF. could this be making my clunk sound? i know i need to replace this right away. is this a GM only bolt (part) or Napa maybe.. is it bad to keep driving like this it seems to ride just fine,,, anyone have a part number maybe,, Thanks for your time and sorry for the long post,,,, I wont be launching over any whoops anymore...

Check the rest of your suspension and steering components. Mostlikely you have a bad component there. If your not good with diagnosing the problem, go in for an alignment and tell them about the noise.

its the weidest noise ever, its only when i first apply the brakes.. i can jump up and down and rock the truck side to side and no noise.. if the truck is only going .5 mph in my driveway and i apply the brakes hard to rock the truck it makes the noise only with the truck in motion. so annoying i cant pinpoint it... yet so freakin loud....

UPDATE...
just found that my drivers side upper ball joint is loose i can wobble tire up and down and can see it move. BUT,, thats not where the noise is coming from.. i can also move my transfer case up and down and can hear it clicking when i do that.?? normal??? or no? thats around where i can pinpoint the origin of the noise, so maybe its the bent bolt making the noise in the dimple of the key?? any suggestions? HELP??? thanks

I would check on why the transfer case is moving.
is it loose on the trans side or is the rear mount loose and the whole thing is moving.
