This may sound stupid but i thought you could only turn up the IP's with electronic injection..... Now i see that the mechanical ones can be too.
my question is.... how?? If someone has some pics, that would be awesome. otherwise, could ya'll please tell me step by step how to do it?? And what are the effects of gas mileage. Diesel ain't goin' down ya know..... thanks in advance guys and gals.

On the side of the pump is a plate that can be removed and inside is diesel fuel and a 5/32" allen screw that can only be seen if it is lined up correctly with the removed plate. you may have to rotate the crank to get it in line. A 1/2 turn clockwise should increase fuel 10-15% over the stock 59.5mm3, or ~65.5mm3-69mm3.

Awesome! thanks qm. my last question is: how bad will that half turn affect my gas mileage?? 17 average right now.

It won't effect your fuel millage at all if you don't use your new found power, but that never happens. I would also not turn any screws until an EGT gauge is installed, unless you already have one, on my pickup 1/8th of a turn from stock could get up to 1300 degrees pulling a trailer and that was with a boost controler at 10-11 psi.

Awesome! thanks qm. And if you don't mind, how did you make or get a chargeair cooler for less than a 100 Bucks??IC core off ebay:$30
install: my time (labor of love)
Piping:$30
hose clamp and turbo hose:$20
My sumation of my IC is: better than nothing :D it drops the IAT in half at WOT from ~300*F to ~150*F. Ect's have stayed below 190*F so far ambientsin mid 80*s F, even WOT going uphill, loaded.
Get the timing advanced to ~8.5*, turn the boost all the way up and the engine will run lower EGT's and generally work less to make power.

Don't forget were working on a mechanical truck here QM. Unless he hooks his up to a TimeTrack he can't just plug in a scanner.
BTW, increasing roller to roller dimension via the leafspring set screw will advance injection timing @ WOT.

Leafspring set screw? what is that? Sorry to be so dumb guys, but you got to ask to learn....:D QM, what kind of core off ebay? An IC Core??? Also I have a true cold air intake, and I am getting 4 inch exhaust within the next month; i just got to find and exhaust company that makes dual tips at the end of the 4 inch pipe. Shouldn't that be enough to lower the egts in when I turn up the IP?

Leaf Spring screw is the one you are turning a half turn to increase your fuel delivery.

I called it a fuel metering screw but I defer to whatever TDG or DP say on pumps. I know he can't find 8.5*s but it is the ideal number and it's ~2.5mm to the right of a stock timed 6.5L.
