How do I "pinpoint" my problem between brake master cylinder, hydroboost or power steering pump?
I have a soft brake pedal and it will "kick" back with a quick hard hit...when braking quickly and turning a "roar" begins...power steering really seems to be rthe same over the life of 83k miles.

mine did the same thing with the sticking or kicking back upon application.... and it would randomly, on cold startup, have no power brakes unless I revved the more way up to get it going.....

changed the fluid to royal purple synthetic and have not had an issue since over 10k now! and the brake pedal it more solid and the power brakes work easier and better than ever before!

change your fluid, should help!

in the diy secxtion there is a good write up that involves using a tube/hose for no mess!! fyi it works very well!!
