Most likely, it's the pilot injection turning off. It does that under WOT or heavy accel. The pilot injection is what makes these diesels sooo quiet at idle and normal driving. It is normal. Hopefully that is what you have - it worried me at first too, but I soon learned what it was.

but it happens below 2000 rpm i thought the pilot injection comes off at aroung 2600 also it doesent sound like the pilot injection coming off

If you have a newer Dmax, there is a reflash available for the PCM that addresses fuel knock. Do a search here at DP about this, there is a huge amount of info about this problem.

Ya, got the knock thing too. Hear it when taking off after a stop. Sounds like you are floating a valve like a gasser....pinging or slapping of valves. I have the LB7 motor.

Anyone with a answer?

check out my post guys, duramax tear down, have the dealer go for a drive and while driving, shut down each cylinder at a time until noise is gone. mine was cylinder 8.
