P0380, sounds like new controler time:mad: - where is it located and anyone have them here?

You may just have a bad relay for the glow plugs... fairly common for that dtc especially if on your 01. Relays are on top of the controller drivers side rocker cover at the rear and the one closer to the front of the truck is the glow plug relay. Hope this helps.:)

The glow plug system is covered under the emission system warranty to 100K miles. My '02 had the controller and the ECM replaced recently at no charge under this warranty.:)

Make sure you are getting power to the large power wire going to the relay/controller (On top of the left (drivers side) valve cover in the back) If your 175amp fuse is blown it will set that code. The 175amp fuse is the power supply on the main power feed.
