One side of my hood sits up and not flush, is there anyway to adjust?

Are you talking in the front it sits up or the back of the hood. There is adjusters in the front. Mine were stuck a little and I had to take vise grips and break them loose real easy.

The front of my hood on one side sits up more. I have a GMC and it also has very wide gaps, I am wondering if its normal. I will post pics.

i think i know what you mean....mine was the same way, big gap on one side and flat/flush on the other side, you need to just play around with the rubber stops under the hood to correct this.

Do you have 2 different types of weather striping on each side of the engine bay? I do.

My right side of hood sits up too high, it is not even touching the rubber stops.

Looks just like mine. I bought it used, clean CarFax, but was seriously thinking that it had been in a small fender-bender, and they replaced a front fender themselves with an older year, same color/body style truck.

Hopefully someone else will chime in. I'm hoping they're all like that, and mine hasn't been in an accident.

Well I was able to adjust the hood and its solid as a rock now!

The gaps are still pretty large. I dont think my truck was ever wrecked.

I also found another 06 GMC on Ebay and the weatherstripping was identical.

Can anyone else with a GMC confirm their weather stripping is the same as mine?

Yup, you're truck is perfectly normal. That's how the come from the factory. Two different strips
