axiom 05-21-2009, 11:01 PM as the thread is titled i have my security light running on and off steady for 2 days now. it came on after a short drive with the truck idling whilst in the store. the van has no power locks or any chips in the keys. any ideas as to why the light is coming on ? I don't even know what activates or deactivates them really. Maybe the interior section would be more help :confuzeld Is the security light being on supposed to prevent you from doing anything? If it IS supposed to beep or something, then maybe there is just a chaffed wire causing it to light up? That's my best guess at it :o: LoCrasto 05-22-2009, 08:45 PM security light = gm passlock PITA there is a auto learn procedure on the net look around... Just remember to set the p-brake so you lights will stay off. takes like 30 mins I think, did it like 2 years ago.. You may have to change the igniton lock and ignition case....It is a common gm problem due to age....
