Have 07.5 lmm and have a funny whine noise between 4 and 6 lbs of boost when motor is above 160 F. This happens any time the boost is between 4 and 6 on acceleration or going 70. Any ideas?

I don't have any noise except in the AM when mine's cold. The turbo (and fan) are pretty noticeable. Once things warm up everything goes away and the turbo is almost silent unless you're really listening for it. How many miles do you have on yours?

44,000 85% highway and its been doing this since around 10,000. it just keeps getting a little louder and louder. when it started it was only when it was cold and now it is only when its warm. dealer said it is normal but i do not.

No idea where your at but maybe someone in the area from the site might give it a listen and see if they think it is not normal.

The turbo is a variable turbo and it could be the vains opening and closing. I only notice mine ideling, you must have great hearing if you hear this going 70.
I`m leaning more to the whine noise being the radiator fan kicking on and off, my fan will kick on & off even cold.
