Heeheee....for rolling bearings in plants, it probably works well. It's a natural extension of the old stick-the-screwdriver-blade-on-the-bearing-and-stick-your-ear-on-the-handle method.
But can you imagine the product liability disclaimer required?
I can just imagine it now:
"Really, Doc, I thought I had a really good hold on the radiator bracket and my wife wasn't driving too fast, maybe 35 or so, and I was listening to my ball joints with this new tool when all of a sudden....."!

We have a couple of them here at work. PDM guys use them on the larger drive bearings in the mills and claim they work pretty well.
