yea i used that 1300º paint stuff from auto zone just to do the wye pipe in the bed and its held up 100x better than I thought it would. I think the key was starting and driving the truck before it dried and driving for about an hour to let it "cure" like the can said.

what be the cost of high temp powder coating? Might try a few cans of the high temp flat black. Can't go wrong for $10-12 a can.

also did you guys start with chrome pipes or just cold rolled steal? I got 2 5"X4' stacks that are chrome and it's looking like coating them is gonna be a bitch!
