Just purchased a new/used 7.5. I'm very new, but have been studying the diesel forums for a while before my purchase. Thank you for the help in deciding to purchase my truck. I'm very pleased with it so for.
I've a bought new in '97, 8.5' ,S&S, camper that will be carrying my camper on now. My old gas '92 K2500 truck gave out, after a long and memorable life. IMO this is the best truck I could have found with help from reading this forum. Again, thank you for the info.
My plans is to upgrade to a 5th wheel toy hauler in the future. Any advise would be very helpful as to the maximum weight/size toy hauler to consider this truck can haul?

What is a 7.5? Congrats on the purchase. You wont be disappointed.

Congrats, you chose the best truck in its segment.

Payload is 3,480lbs for CC SB LMM 2500 2WD, 4WD version it's 3,240lbs.

Regular receiver hitch towing is 13,000lbs.

Official (legal) Fifth wheel towing max is 15,300lbs for the 2WD and 13,900lbs for the 4wd.

Truck will pull the 15k easy but I'd want a dually for stability were I pulling that much on the regular.
