New here guy's, but a long time fan. I was turned on to the 6.5TD when
I started my Towing job, and the first day in that 95' 3500HD 6.5TD, I was
in Love, (after my wife that is). Wasn't four months later I bought my own
95' K2500 4x4 ext. cab 6.5TD "S" and man can that baby climb. My wood cutting buddies have nicknamed it "TANK". Anyway, all of you guy's have held my hand in the learning process about the 6.5 Turbo Diesel engine,
and everyday's a new learning experience, which I drool for.

Thank you.
Respectfully,
Randall S. Powell

I might have considered a 4.5L Dmax, but otherwise I dont think there is another truck I would rather have. Nothing Light Duty about it :)

I had a '76 5.0L carb'd F100 before that was great, even good on gas (25MPG, what happened to new trucks??) and fast (dual straight pipes), but cant compare in pulling power.

Before i bought this truck, I almost grabbed a 5.3L "hybrid" silverado, the ones that no one wanted, because it was just regenerative braking to run the truck when not moving and no actual electic drive. Had they just put the Mulitple displacement system with that hybrid system it could have been beautiful, but they stopped that and went for full hybrid that costs a ton.
