I know some of you have been looking around for something besides the G80 like a detroit which doesn't exist yet as far as I know. Well I was cruising around the AAM website and found that they make lockers, I would assume that since they make the axle their locker must fit in it too. So if you're interested check it out here (http://www.aam.com/technology/tech_prod_dl_diff.html)
I don't know if you can buy those aftermarket or not, I just happened to find them and thought maybe we do have more options.
Also if a detroit or something like it already exists for our trucks just disregard my post ;)

The tracrite GT is the G-80 that gm uses. The GK is the unit that dodge uses in their 11.5 axle.:)

Not correct. The GM G80 is made by Eaton and is the Gov-Lok system. A posi/locker hybrid system. Link for the G80 here:

The Dodge trucks do use the AAM TracRite GT model. A helical gear torsion unit. Link info here:

I am swapping out my G80 for the TracRite on my truck here in this thread:

BMDMAX,
OOPs, I mixed up the part #'s, look again, the AAG GL is the unit used in gm trucks with the 11.5 rear axle, the GK is the helical gear set up that is used in the dodges. Based on feed back from the dodge users, they as a whole don't seem to like the lock up characteristics of the helical gear system. Many users report USELESS single spin, poor lock up. It looks like the unit you got from Randy's is similar to the dodge unit. Look again at the pictures on AAG website and look at the GL, looks identical to the unit you have apart on the bench. Could still be an eaton, but I don't think it is in the 11.5 rear axle. I think AAG makes all of their own parts. Eaton was for sure the MFG of all of the older gov locs however. Let us know how your new locker works. Your broken parts on your OEM G-80 are classic for the gov loc design.:(
