The billet cover is a Steve Cole design. As far as the rest of the converter, you are on your own. Pray that it is not a converted 8.1 with a milled stator. If it is, you will not be happy.

Anyway I can tell or is it drop'er in and see? A local Diesel shop here has them at a atractive price to intro them, thought I would ask. Any info on the one for a power smoke 4spd?

You won't see Suncoast, ATS, or TTS discount their converters because they cost too much to build. I am leary of discount products and I know how much it costs to build a quality converter. I don't know what's in a TCI converter but my past experience with them left customers hanging badly. When a warranty issue arises, you must purchase another unit and wait for them to decide if you have a problem. This is all done at your expense. This just happened at my shop recently. The problem got real bad when the second unit failed, customer had to buy a third and ship back at his expense. I have all of this documented. I was told by TCI that I didn't know what I was doing.

 Sounds like typical :blahblah: BS. The price I was qtd for a tripple lock was 700. Maybe for 1/2 you don't care??, but the labor part would suck. Thanks for the insite Mike.
