is it in the tube or in the pan? my guess its in the pan and if thats true your going to have to drop it to find it.

honestly...I woudlnt worry about it. Its heavy enough where its probably just going to sit in the pan.
Its kind of a PITA to pull the lower oil pan, pull the front crossmember, bunch of 10mm bolts and nuts etc...
Its basically not possible to pull the upper oil pan with the motor in the truck.

I think I would drain the oil and maybe the pc. will find it's way to the drain hole, then fish it out. If not perhaps an air nossel under low pressure with the plug still out shoot the air down the oil dipstick tube, again hopefully the pc will find it's way.

Ya, if it's in the pan, I agree it would be too heavy to pick up plust it would be too big to fit thru the screen on the pickup.

If its magnetic the next time you drop the oil take a magnet and run it along the bottom of the pan to the drain plug hole and get it out. If its in the bottom of the pan you could stick a magnet on the pan to hold it there until you change oil next.
Check the larger part of the dipstick with magnet and see if its ferrous metal.
