Has anybody investigated installing the Hummer tire air control system on the GM PU? Can it be done without replacing the whole rear/front ends? I presume that it falls into the "more trouble than its worth" category, but I have to ask.
I am anticipating having to cross up to 800 dunes in an upcoming off-road venture and that feature sure would be nice.
Thanks.

I may be wrong but I do not think the H2's have the onboard air (CTIS) The H1 has it, but that's also because its got a geared axle. and the axle shaft goes in above the wheel centerline. I hope this helped a bit. Granted I t would be a NICE feature to have.

I went and googled your inquiry since I've wondered the same thing myself and can't find anything that isn't for Semitrucks except for this (http://www.detnews.com/2004/autosinsider/0411/18/C07-5542.htm) interesting article. Looks like we can't get it yet but the army is going to want it for that pickup.
You might contact these guys:
Hutchinson Industries Inc. -- wheels
JDM Engineering & Design LLC -- central tire inflation system sealing
Just in case they might have something you could buy from them. If so let us know!
