I'm looking at a friends truck and need some help. He's got an 01 dmax/alli. When you pull the selector into drive the trans pops and goes into 4th gear. Along with a list of codes:

P1711 Pressure switch E Circuit Low/Stuck Closed
P0650 MIL Control Circuit Malfunction
P0700 Trans Malfunction (Damn dredded code)
U1000 Class 2 Data Malfunction
C0281 Stoplamp switch circuit (Weird)
C0267 Pump Motor Circuit open

Now he's told me it's done this twice to him this being the second time. and it's not going away even when the codes are cleared. And both times it's done this he has been driving down the road at speeds (45-55 Mph) and he hasn't been getting on the throttle at all. and like i said this time it's not going away. Any ideas? Maybe loose or broken wires to the trans being it has a Data codes?

Nothing at all??

A couple of weeks ago I was getting speed sensor and stuck trim solenoid codes and was trying all kinds of stuff thinking my Allison was going out...turns out some wiring was dangling and rubbing on the drive shaft...patched it up and the codes disappeared. Might be something to look for...
