I just was wondering what do you do when you swiss cheese the air box. I just installed the K&N charger kit but from what I have read on here it does not sound like K&N is the way to go.

www.wackywack.com (http://www.wackywack.com/) and take a look at the picks. I used a dremel.

Go to "fun stuff" and scroll down a bit and you should see pics

I think they could have cut more windows out of that. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/images/smilies/hihi.gif

I personally would run a K&N at the track only, in relativity clean air stream. And even then, I would be worried about the filter oil issues with the air flow sensor. IMO, run a good paper element with the swiss cheese mod. What you lose in air flow through the paper, you make up with the mod. Then you can rest easy about the filter oil issues or the extra dirt the K&N will pass if you didn't oil it properly. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/images/smilies/eek.gif
