I was wondering what everyone thought of this performance package. http://www.pmtchips.com/product.asp?pf_id=GM66PP1
Am i going to have to get the tranny upgrade even keeping the edge on number 3? or are there better performance packages out there? or better ways to spend about $1,500.. and help would be great.. I have a stock 2003 silverado 2500HD 4 door long bed! thanks again.

a good combo to go with, similiar to what i have. i run the edge on 4 all the time & play with 5 on occasion. id shop around for the best price, think my combo cost me 1200.

First step should be gauges in my opinion. I guess if you go with the Edge you'll have that covered to some extent.

A) You can do better on price on an Edge w/*** + exh + intake.

B) If you are going to do the trans, get the Hot Juice instead.

C) If you want hurt someone, opt for the TTS Extreme instead.

It is arguably the most powerful single mod you can do to any diesel. With a lift pump, exhaust, and intake, expect about 240rwhp over stock. Or double the stock HP. Not for the faint of heart. Not a chance it will work with a stock trans.

Do a search on this board for TTS Extreme. You'll find a lot of threads.

I would try to buy from one of the supporting vendors here.

The TTS Xtreme is a mean MO FO and very driveable. Hot juice is nice though and has lotsa fun bells and wistles even though it aint as strong as the TTS. Neither a hot juice or a TTS Xtreme will play well with a stock trans.

If you dont have a problem getting a trans upgrade then get it first and enjoy the big dog programs.

If you keep it to 90 hp added you should be fine unloaded on a stock trans, towing you need to back her down. A regular juice on 3 or 4 with defuel on shifts will play nice with a stock allison unloaded.
