Red Carpet at the corner of Hwy 20 (Greenwood) & 9th in Bend has Bio diesel today for $2.79.9. Didn't stop to check which grade. Very surprising about the price because he was as $3.50.9 a couple of weeks ago. Sure would like to find a supplier in Bend for bulk delivery to my 700 gal tank. Sooner or later it is gonna happen. tom

Around here it went from 3.50 to 2.80 when they switched from B100 to B99. I think there's some type of incentive or tax break to do the blended fuel rather than straight bio.

It's true!

Red Carpet has b20 for 2.79/gal and b99 for 2.84.

I'm going to fill with b99 at my next fill and then dyno.

I'm no tree hugger but if it doesn't have any adverse effects on my truck, I would much rather pay our farmers than the camel jockeys. At this point I don't know if price is that much of an issue.

Why B99 and not B100, what is the difference? I got B100 at Star Oil Co in Portland OR for $3.60 in March. Haven't checked since then because it was soooo expensive.

Star Oil Co. told me that Portland was getting a biodiesel plant sometime in April. This should make the price go down. I will check on this tomorrow.

The B99 qualifies for a tax break. Silly, but thats how it works.........

Another question for those in the know - I have a 100 gal tank in my truck as well as my 700 gal bulk tank? Can I do my own mix - buy 50 gal 100 or so bio and add 50 gal of D2 from my bulk tank? Will it mix properly? With the way I drive, tank sloshing is easy!

Yup, it will mix real fine.

Checked today. B20 is $2.77 and B99 is 3.10. Portland won't be getting a production plant just a mixing plant about 30 miles south in Salem.

The recent "drop" in price is due to a credit for mixers.

The Pacific Pride cardlock location in Aurora and Salem Oregon have been selling B20 for about 8 months. I've used it randomly since the first day they started selling it will no problems. The price has varied from $2.20 - $2.75/gallon.
