I have a friend with an 05 suburban and from the factory it comes with 265/70/16's. He wants to toss a 265/75 on it, but the dealer says that it will set off the TPMS light and you have to get it reprogrammed by the dealer.

I found a few things on google about it, but nothing just like this. He doesn't want to pay to have tires mounted and have to pay the dealer to reprogram his computer. Does anyone know anything about this?

not true the sensors dont care what size tires are on the rims. not much of a diffrence but the tire size should still be set up to the vehicle.

If the newer tires require a higher pressure how does one go about re setting the TPMS to the new pressure?
