I am interested in the new Hankook RF-10 in a 315/70/17 size for my H2 wheels and wanted to know if anyone had experience towing in the 10k range with these tires? I used to have the BFG 315/70/17 TKO's and they towed great (3-ply sidewall with the 3rd ply Kevlar). The Hankook has a 2-ply sidewall and rated at 3195 at 50 psi. Although the BFG rode rough, the extra sidewall certainly helped for towing.

If nobody has experience towing with this combination, how about the Nitto Terra Grapplers in a LT305/70R17 size (E rated with 10-ply). The Terra Grapplers are rated to 3640@ 65 psi.

I am trying to balance everyday ride comfort without getting into a situation where the truck & enclosed 28-foot car trailer feels squirmy.

I have them in 285/70-17 (a little closer to your size :)). I like them a lot so far. I have only towed 7-8k once, but they work real well. They have the same advantages over my stockers loaded as unloaded: smoother ride, nice handling, quiet and comfortable. I have about 800 miles on the tires overall.
