I am looking into buying a 2004.5 and was wondering what had to be done to put a 2005 grille in it, i think you have to get a differnet hood, i was just wondering if anyone has done this and or can point me in the right direction

Yes only the hood and grille are needed but it would still cost quite a bit I would look for a 05

ok thank you, i figured that it would cost quiet a bit but i was just wondering because if i find a good deal on an 04 and then pay to make it look like an 05

Yup just a new hood, the grille and the little colored peices between the headligths and turn signals. I had a shop do the swap . . . unfortunately do not recall what it cost . . .

I'm running the same aftermarket grille on my '04.5 that I had on my '06 6.0 gasser. There is no difference in the hood clearance or fit. The '06 had the higher HD hood and the '04.5 has a lower hood. As for fitment between the lights there is no difference.
