been reading through the surge, buck, miss problems. mine only does it when its 40 degrees or colder out. the engine temp. has to be around 150 or so usually when i notice it. if i hold the throttle steady it acts like a miss, if i push on the throttle more it clears up? have the edge updated 1.2v and problem still there. have never had reflash for anything. its been getting warmer here so i haven't noticed it lately. something i should worry about? should i ask for reflash? thanks. :)

May have to get the re-flash done or it could be a bad injector.
My 04.5 LLY was doing almost the exact same thing.
New injector on #3 cylinder seems to have fixed the problem.
I asked the dealership to re-flash the ECM. They checked it and told me I already have the most recent version installed.
Also check the fuel filter. If you are getting close to 10,000 miles, its time for a new one.

Even though you have the 1.2 edge it still has cold weather issues. It has something to do with the processor they use doesn't like the cold. This may be your issue. Try removing the Edge completely next time and see if your truck still does it. Otherwise try strapping it to the radiator hose to warm it up faster. If the problem goes away then a reflash might not be the answer. I've never had a problem with mine (both edge version 1.0 and 1.2) and I still have the original factory flash when I'm not using the predator. Of course it doesn't get cold in Souther Calif.

The edge will not work under 40 degrees (got that directly from edge)unless you do the trick they mentioned..Tie the edge box to your upper rad hose so it will keep the chips warm- as mentioned above.

the new 1.2 firmware on the edge comes on earlier than the previous. Before the edge would not come on until your engine temp hit 180 degrees! Now in the new version you get 50% at 160 , then by 180 you have 100%. I have the email at home from the guy at Edge that explained it. I could be off on the numbers, going by memory.
