: Exhaust tone changing at idle? Buickpuller 04-26-2005, 10:57 PM Brand new truck taking some time to get used to. At a stop with in gear can hear exhaust tone change while at rest. Sounds like something is opening/closing causing exhaust note to change. Sounds smooth then with no reason gets a deep rumble. Has 4 inch exhaust with no cat. Probably normal, just curious if anyone has experienced this and had an explanation.
