Hey guys. Looking to see what you guys think...tow mirrors or not?

I will eventually color match the tow mirrors if I get them but just for kicks...also if anyone is good at photo shop and wants to make that mirror white...let me know. Thanks.

Painting that tow mirror white would look goofy IMO.

When I first got my truck I hated the tow mirrors, then I towed with them and was extremely grateful to have them. Having a CC long bed they do come in handy and are worth the value, but from a ascetics value they are extremely ugly.

I love everything about the tow mirrors. They look great and they make driving on the interstate a lot easier. I'd say do the swap.

Took the words right out of my mouth. They help changing lanes, since the convex mirriors eliminate almost ALL blindspots for me.

I say tow, I want to swap mine out for the tows as well.

Yeah I am deff on the fence about these.....

heres what I'm thinking....tell me if you guys think I'm crazy. My GF is looking at buying a yukon or tahoe. 2003 - 2005...well we are going to look at a couple this weekend. I am thinking of having them mount tow mirrors as part of the deal once I get them down to what I want to pay then just swap out mirrors. I guess what I am looking for is will the dealer be down for this and would my 2006 mirrors bolt up (plug in) to a 2003 - 2005 yukon of tahoe?

Without a doubt, go with the Tow mirrors..for all the reasons the guys above mentioned...significantly increased vision, the split design is excellent and helps more times than one could remember if ya forget to shoulder check on changing lanes...dont ask me how I know that..!

The mirror hookup just depends on whether you have the heated mirrors or not. As for painted white...check out my garage/avatar...done the same. Door/Tailgate handles and my winter rims are all going to be done this summer...time permitting.

yeah the Z71 Tahoe's we are looking at are fully loaded...not sure about the puddle lamps but looks like they would have everything else. Will the dealer bitch about putting 2006 mirrors on a 2003-2005? I tow on occasion...mainly I am getting them for the looks (which I happen to like) and increased visibility. We will see if the dealer is down....I hope so...
