Well packaged, good instructions, fits well. Give it a B. Price was good, got it from John@DPS.
Nothing unusual about install, but be aware that GMC's take a different P/N for some years than Chevys. Looks water-safe.
Dyno - Stock with straight pipe, 3rwhp gain, loss 4ftlb. Call it zero gain.
With race tune, 8 rwhp gain, 14 ftlb gain.
Is it worth it? You decide. As far as bang per $$$, it sucks. But if you need that extra 0.1 seconds or 1 ft on the sled, every little bit helps.
Well I guess you can't give me crap about my Vararam anymore :p:

any whistle or wow factor?

How about quicker spool-up?
I'm still not convinced any aftermarket filter is worth it. $300-$400 for a glorified dirt-passing whistle is not my idea of a performance mod.

The extra dirt don't hurt anything, just look at Brokers 400,000-500,000 mile trucks.;)

Yea, me either. Im kicking around the idea of making my own aluminum straight piped intake......just gotta figure out where to get something like that machined or made.........

It wasn't that expensive.
I would say racers should do the intake, others should leave it alone.

Morning,
The pricing we have on the AFE Pro Guard 7 is way less than you guys are quoting, plus the PG7 STOPS the dirt that the 4 and 5 layer systems do not. Check our site or call us and you will be pretty surprised at the intake system you can get and the cost of it too!

My truck already whistled before the intake. Perhaps it is a little louder. You can tell my truck is turbocharged. :D While I don't trust SOTP readings, it does seem like it takes off a touch quicker.
There has to be something said for popping your hood after you beat up on a Mustang and they see NOTHING that looks like you've modified the engine.

This will probably piss you off, but how do you figure this? The price on your website is $416.79 for the AFE Pro Guard 7 Stage II kit for an LLY. I said in my previous post that most intakes run $300-$400. Did I miss something?
The air filter debate will never cease. I'll admit I've been thinking seriously about a Pro Guard 7 Stage II--although it stops dirt well, it still isn't AS GOOD as the stock unit. Many people claim air flow improvements are a MUST when running a big program, but I don't see why.

Hard to tell. Next time I tow the car, I should know.
