Do a search on www.trucktrend.com (http://www.trucktrend.com) . They have been developing a hot rod style 1500 chevy pickup, I think it might be like a 94 or something, but they should have a bunch of links to people or companies that could help. It's worth a shot!

Good luck, hope it works!!!!

You might be stuck with a ZF I don't know if an ally will fit with those frame rails.

Before getting my 05 i thought of this also, my idea was to find a salvaged or wrecked 01-new duramax truck and put my 96 body on it. Just a thought dont know if it would work, IMO the box style chevy (96-98...the lights and a few other changes) is the best looking style since 1973! :ro) :ro)

The owner of the diesel page is going this with an older 1/2 ton, I think you need to pay the rip off rate of $20 to read about it. He did claim that the setup was going to be a racer with 600+ rwhp. I havn't followed the story since getting booted a couple years ago. The site is slow, has very little up to date information, has very few members, and little traffic, but if you are interested in more information, sorry but this place won't allow the pages address.
