bonestock 08 LMM with 27k. fuel filter replaced 3k ago.
I have a very random issue with spool-up but only in 1st gear. Say im at a light and need to jump on it to merge lanes. Light turns green, jump in the throttle, truck moves but very slow. Continue to press foot to floor, still no boost. Feels like a blown intercooler boot or something. With my foot on the floor, I can count 10 seconds then it hits 2nd gear, chirps my 285's, and accelerates normally.
This has happened a few times now and seems to be key cycle related. Friday it did this on my way to lunch. Get back in the truck after lunch and its fine. Also seems to do this more in warm humid weather. On-star diagnostics find no codes. Dealer says they can't do anything unless i can make it happen on the lot.
Is there some kind of VGT or specific vane sensor that could be causing this? Im thinking it is sensor related sense it tends to act up or stop acting up on key cycles. Am i wrong?
