So today I took my truck to a transmission shop to get it repaired.
It still has 6 months of warranty left on it from the time I bought it from a finance company.
I was told to pick a transmission shop and to give them my contract # then the Shop calls my warranty provider to let them know what the total bill is going to be and what went wrong.
I know some warranty providers want to visit the shop first. My friend bought a used car and also had transmission problems but had a warranty contract like me they visited the shop before they worked on it and thankfully the warranty provider fixed it on their coin and didnt deny work.
Anyway my truck came with the factory manual but not the diesel supplement. According to the manual gas equipped pickups need a transmission fluid change every 50,000 miles if the GVWR is over 8600 pounds.
Im wondering if its the same for diesels.
I bought my truck with 82,000 miles and it now has 90,000
I just want to know if its the same as gassers so that the warranty provider cant pull off the you didnt maintain the transmission card since I dont have to change it until it hits 100,000 miles if diesels are the same as gassers in terms of transmission maintanence.
