Mike, Brayden or other Allison expert,
One of our mechanics told me about an email he received tonight. He was told by our Automotive supervisor that if they find that an Allison is "acting up" due to screwed up TCM programming (maybe confused as it tries to learn what the heck we're doing when driving?), it can be cleared by doing the following:
1) Shut truck off while transmission is in Neutral
2) After 30 second wait, restart truck with transmission in Neutral.
Supposedly, this was told to management by an Allison engineer during a UPS Automotive seminar recently.
Is this true or not?
