This is My first diesel ive owned. Im 18 and work three jobs to afford it but wouldnt trade it for anything. Its a 06 LLY with a 5" diamond eye exhaust, eagle alloy wheels, cab lights, and 2.5% tinted windows. Next is a modified stock intake and quadzilla stealth 2 as soon as i find one cheap enough or wait till summer when schools done.

Have fun modding your truck, but if you are already working 3 jobs, the ~5k for a new tranny should limit the power adders for a while...

Nice truck man, it's nice to see someone with the ambition to get what they want in life no matter how hard they have to work for it.:beerchug:

Beautiful truck, good luck with it. If it's your first diesel I suggest you read up on preventitive maintenance. There are a few different things then a gasser. Fuel filter replacement is very important, usually every 15,000 miles. High quality fuel is a priority in your high tech Duramax, so I would suggest a secondary fuel filter, such as the Nicktane kit. It's not going to make a noticeable difference in power so many people don't bother, but if you're going to keep the truck for a while it could save you $3000+ on failed injectors. Cheap insurance for $200. IMO if you're going to get a tuner, upgrade the trans first, cuz it'll cost less now, and you're gonna need it anyway. I'm picky about maintenance and could go on and on, but I think this is a good start. If money's tight it's easy to skimp on maint and just get a tuner, but trust me, it'll cost more in the end.

X2 I changed my fuel always in Oct. then this way I always went into the winter months with a clean fuel filter. But now I have the Air Dog and I have to change the first filter after 10,000 miles and then I can go longer and never worry about the one on the engine and this way it will only take me 5 min. and $ 15 vs. 45 min. and $45.

nice truck my man

someone needs to start an under 30 and regular cab truck club, im 23, i have an lb7 regular cab, but i definitely don't work more then one job to support it, but kudos to you doing that while being that young, when i was that age i did something similar

and you only live once, chip the sucker, and do your preventative maintenance the transmission will be fine, hopefully:D

Nice looking truck. I agree it's nice to see young guys that are willing to work hard to get what they want in life. I bought a big block at 17 and my first D-Max at 20. I'm 24 now and have 2 and possibly may have a 3rd one by fall :D along with a lot of other stuff I got by hard work and determination.
