:)Hello, does anyone have a new 2500 HD gas? Any problems, how does the motor and tranny hold up? What kind og gas mileage can you expect out of the new motors? Thanks for any info. :D

No probs here. All is well and my tires still hate me. Motor and tranny are just fine. Mileage isnt much better than the obs trucks. i get about 15hwy(after the tune). Before it was around 13.5hwy. Dont even ask about city mileage, cuz mine sucks. It might be due to my right foot.

No problems here. I personally like the old 5 speed transmissions better than these new 6 speeds but thats just my opinion. Mileage aint't the best but I didn't expect it to be the greatest.

No problems at all, but I have basically no miles (3300).

Actually, it is for sale.....

Hey BRIAN....let me know what you think of the new rig, I am not exactly sure what to buy later this year but would like some input as to how it performs, especially gas mileage. Thanks:D

I pull a 6000 pound trailer daily. No problems what so ever. 10 to 10-1/2 pulling trailer. I understand what onedirtymax means when he says he likes the 5 speed better. If I want the old 5 speed, I simply put the transmission in 5 manual. I like the 6 speed better, but does take some getting use to. I normally run in 5 manual. Sometimes 4 manual. Good truck!

I have had my truck for almost a year and it has 10,500 miles on it. It's a very nice truck. Daily driving I have been getting around 12 - 13 mpg. The worst I ever got was pulling my lawn equipment trailer and 2 yards of topsoil and on that trip the truck got 10 mpg. Like others have said the 6 speed takes some time to get use to, but once you do it is nice. I have found if you are doing some city driving you may want to just leave it in 4 manual. In the owner's manual it says that if you are pulling a trailer and have a lot of stop and go traffic through town to pull in 3 or 4 manual. Other than that this truck is amazing and is a big improvement from my 1993 F-150.

Got about 6xxx miles and getting about 14-15 here local, seems to get 17 or so on road trips empty. But I am hauling something so I don't really know how good it will get yet. Love the 6 spd but def takes some getting used to. I think that the grade braking is more aggressive than my alli was in the dmax. But all in all I like it a lot. Looking into getting bigger tires next and putting the green keys in.

Yeah, I love the truck, the grade braking is aggressive but it really works nice. I am getting 15 hwy and 9-10 pulling work trailer, I love it :)

I have just shy of 12k on the ticker. Winter (below zero temps) towing mileage is 7-8 pulling enclosed snowmobile trailers or fish houses. 13-14 mpg pulling my 16.5' Alumicraft at 55-65. I get about 12-13 mpg mixed/commuting, 15-16 mpg at 55-60, and 13-14 mpg on long trips at 70-75.

I came from a 7.3 Powerstroke so I do miss the torque, but it has excellent power for a gas truck. The 6-speed auto is the best auto transmission I have driven and the manual and tow-haul modes are nice. I just got back from a week in the MT and ID mountains and tow-haul combined with the maual mode provided excellent performance up and down hills.

My truck had some minor teething issues that have been covered by warranty. So far I have been pleased with the truck.
