Hi I'm new to the diesel performance game, my question is; do programmers reduce engine longevity? I have an 03 Duramax 6.6 and I found a great deal on a hypertech 3 programmer, I like the performance but am I hurting anything by using it? I do some towing up to 8000 lbs but mostly its hauling lite loads. this programmer I was told has 3 settings of 45 hp, 65 hp, and 90 hp. Any info would be appreciated. Tom

you wont hurt it, just do it. might want to post in performance.
