Was wanting to know about the Banks exhaust if it keeps the cab noise down while driving. I enjoy the piece and quiet right now. I am a little nervous on how loud it will be. Cat back system is what I am considering. Any help appreciated.

I have the Cat Back and am very pleased with it. The noise drone is not bad at all, just above stock but nice.

My Banks exhaust was great around town empty, not too loud, but beware if you tow or haul heavy when you hit the hills it is loud and has a drone in the cab. I took mine off and went a different route, BTW I tried both w/ and w/o front pipe it was better with the cat on.

When did Banks come out with a Turbo back system? Last I heard, it was from the end of the turbo pipe at the bottem about 18" or so past the turbo. I have the Banks Monster exhaust, and it is not turbo back!

I have been tempted to try out the MBRP cool duals, but the $$$ is best spent other places. And I have no complaints of fit or soundquality on mine.
I just wish it were 304 SS not 409. The Salt Belt at work! :Pukey:

Did they stop making the downpipe?

Banks has 2 different systems for all configurations, so on some of the trucks you need to cut the front section in order for it too fit. But Banks never had the pipe that starts at the turbo. I am not sure if any of the exhaust manufactures have the down pipe from the turbo availible for the average Joe. I know that a couple of the manufactures have toyed around with it, and there may be a few trucks with an after market turbo down pipe, But Banks doesn't have it, at least not as of about 6 months ago.
So to answer your question, you do not have an after market turbo down pipe from Banks, unless they made it for you, and only you.

My understanding was that the drone was there in the early versions of the system. They have since changed the way the muffler is done. I don't feel I have any on my truck and that includes towing. The wife and kids don't complain about any either and I made a point to ask. Don't want anyone uncomfortable on those long trips.

I like my 4" but once I straight piped it I lost TONS of vibration and drone when just cruising. Just an idea.. it's wierd, but it's quieter in the cab.
