i am currently looking into gettin the edge juice/attitude for my lb7 duramax and i am wonderin wat mods would i have to make to the allison to be safe in every level and how much it would run me all together thanks

It's kinda like asking what religion is best: You'll never get a straight answer and it's bound to start some sort of a holy war. I suggest doing some research here first.

A transgo and a converter will hold it just fine. Problem is alot of your cost is in the R&R of the trans and there is always the better to have too much than not enough if you fall off the deep end later and start getting crazy. I once thought a 90 hp juice was all I would ever run and that would be pushing it.......then......well look at my sig

Do it right once the first time and be done with it. I just did mine completely, and it wasnt cheap but I think it was worth it.NO WORRIES!!! I have the same setup as you.

Up to lvl.4 (90hp) should be fine for the stocker for a long time. Once you cross to the 125hp Lvl 5 setting you will ned some protection. I think Rat in right on with the Mike L. visit.

curiously.... i ask you this because you posted your 1/4 mile time in your sig, and you have the basic performance mods *plus* the tranny upgrade. i would have thought that you would be in the 13's?? what would be the next money or time spent to get you to drop a second?

How long would you expect a suncoast to last if you rag it out. Everyone says do it and forget it. What gives?

it seems that once you throw down for the tranny upgrade, that is a huge hurdle.

I agree with doing it once and upgrade all you want. I started with a Predator and then got an Edge and now have an EXTREMELY fast truck by comparison to what I ever had imagined. The full trans upgrade gives you alot of peace of mind so you can hammer it all you want. My trans upgrade is awesome for me and I don't drive easy by any means. :ro) :grd:

wuts the goin rate of removing the tranny and reinstalling. Like say i had a stage 5 installed at a tranny shop? The mitchell at work was callin for 9.5 hours. $$$$

While there, have him do the cooler also.

One problem. I'm in maryland and goin to him would be alittle bit of a ride. IF Anyone knows of a suncoast installer in or near maryland let me know.

I'll ask again -- does a suncoast last forever, or can you rag it out like the stock? I hear "do it once" I'm trying to figure out if that's all I will have to do it -- just once.
