everybody for disscusing the traier hot wire. my truck simply had all wiring connected already, with "dummy" fuse inserted. I replaced with 40 amp maxi fuse on post #1 and tested at the traier connector. everthing was perfect and simple to understand...

Thats the same way I found my 06 from the dealer. I figure they must have hooked up the wire at some point. All I did was swap out the dummy fuse and power was available at the trailer plug.
