Alright guys, I'm looking into Getting a little more power for my Duramax. Right now I'm about as stock as I can get. I was wondering how I should go about this.... I was looking at some different chips and such and came across the PPE... I asked a local buddy of mine about his and he told me he LOVES! his... But He also has gone throgh some transmittions:eek:. I'm not looking to be the fastest truck in town I just wan't alittle more power you know.... Anyway, I'm looking at my options here and I'm pretty sure I might go with the EDGE or the Banks. Any suggestions?
I'll be running this on a Stock 2003 Crewcab 2500 6.6 Turbo Diesel(LB7) BLA BLA BLA....
Thanks, Cody.

I would go with ppe or diablosport predator. The ppe is the best out of those but they predator is the best bang for the buck. One downfall to those is you will need gauges and they are not shift on the fly. Some people like their edges and some hate them, I for one wouldnt spend $700 on edge id rather save up for efi live.

I bought and edge used on here and like it. I know the PPE and EFI live are way better but for what I spent I'm happy.

id definatly recommend the preadator, its a good safe programmer in my opinion. Im running a lift just as you are,and have it set on the 65HP tune and its more than adequate for my style of driving. I more or less just wanted to gain back the power i lost after the lift/tires. The preadator is great and my truck feels much stronger. I have the same mindset as you, i dont cruise around town with the accelerator to the floor wanting to race everyone, if you drive with your foot connected to your brain you wont have to worry about transmissions like your friend. Im very impressed with the highway use and ease of passing now, MPG also went up about 3 points which is always a bonus. Defiantly get the predator.

It all depends on how you drive and what setting you use. Most tuners out there have enough power to trash your transmission so it is up to you to use your head and not abuse it. A good rule of thumb is 70-90 hp is safe, as long as you dont abuse it. That being said, I suggest PPE. They have excellent tunes and are very easy to use. Let me know if I can help with anything.

PPE would be a good purchase.. Also EFI live is still a strong choice..

Thanks for all the good feebback, I'm looking into the Predator right now, I'm a pretty smart driver, Well.... More safe then most 18 year olds with a Duramax. hahaha, like I said before, I'm not looking to be the fastest truck in town. Also I'm Very legit and have bought sold and traded tons of things on other message boards so I can prove I'm legit so If anyone has or knows of anyone who as a used edge, PPE, Predator or anything else let me know....
Thanks, Cody.

Look at the Market Place on this site. You should find what you're looking for.
