Hey Guys,

I didnt really know where to post this, so here we go. I just got my truck a few weeks ago, and it always has had a soft brake pedal. For the first few inches it presses really easy, like it doesnt offer any resistance. After that it feels like a normal brake pedal. This is the first vehicle i have owned that did this so if you guys have any ideas, please help me out.

Thanks alot!

Bleed improperly and you will have more than a soft pedal.............How 'bout you fix the hardware and rust deficiencies at ALL 4 corners, first.

Read and follow the steps in post #7 here http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=146597&highlight=another+soft+brake
There are quite a few converts into "believers" that their truck really can stop so well on stock parts. I don't really feel like scouring the sight to quote them all.

And once that has been performed, then consider bleeding if it's still too soft for your liking, Read this http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=298416&highlight=tech
and follow the link in post #7 there.........

Which leads here http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=297023&highlight=bleed and read post #10 to hear the results of bleeding properly and it's results, after servicing the hardware first and not getting all of the "confident' feel back.
