Just installed my edge last week and now my mileage has dropped to 15 mpg driving good on the highway empty. I was up around 20 with my hypertech. Anyone have any ideas, i read something a little bit ago to change to stage 3 and 1 on low boost for better mileage. Has anyone tried this?:confused:

I believe most run that boost fueling selector at 1 or 2 for that vary reason.

I will try it and see if it gets any better, it doesn't seem to matter what stage i run it in, it still gets 15.

Stage one right now, with low boost on 3. This morning on my drive to work about 25 miles of interstate at 70 mph it was at 15.4 mpg. according to the dic.

the DIC isn't correct when you put programmers on. At least the Predator jacks with it, I would guess the banks probably does to. Calculate it manually and see what your getting.

Both the Edge and the predator will change the DIC results. The best suggestion is to calculate by hand. Not all the DIC mileage calculations are accurate even stock.

My DIC is pretty accurate even with the Edge ! With the Quadzilla programmer it was reading WAY high though ! Your 15.4 is prolly correct. How many miles do you have on it ? Mine didnt start getting decent mileage till about 21,000 miles for some reason.

The Transmission has to "relearn" it's shifting when the Juice is installed. It says that in the booklet that comes with it. I would think the mileage would suffer for a little while, but 21,000 miles??? I have no idea.

I'd say the Hypertech inflated the mpg and the Juice brought it back to reality.

I have used level 1 low boost 1 for 7 months getting about 15 in the city. I just recently tried level 3 low boost 1 for 2 tanks. I got only one mile lower per gallon, but I really got on it a few times.(leading car club down interstate, full throttle, etc..) This tank I am taking it easy to see how it goes.

if I get the same mileage on level 3 as I do on level 1 then I am staying on 3. I have read that people using this setting (lvl3,lb1) get about 17 in the city.

if you are getting 15 on the highway then I don't know what is wrong..I get at least 18 on the highway varying speed, but everyone foot is different ;-)

I get 17mpg whether the edge is on 1x1 or 3x4. 5k on the truck now, 3k of that with the edge in it. I got a 1mpg jump when i installed the edge and another 2mpg at 3500 miles. 17 looks real nice after getting out of a 6.0l gasser that got 12-13 all the time.

I agree. I get 19mpg on the freeway now unloaded. For 7500+ lbs that is great:cool2: I always run level 3 unless I am towing. I am now running Version 1.2 and it is running great. The throttle responce is a little better than before.

I have the Hypertech (level 3) on my 02 and I get right at 20 mpg. Hand calculated.

Edge w/ Attitude and I am still getting an around down average of 12.5-13 MPG.... 15,000 Mi. on many different settings... I have tried it all...

I am actually going to take a long trip for no reason just to test highway mileage!!!!

The Hypertech will make the DIC read way high. I think you are comparing the Edge to inaccurate Hypertech DIC readings.

Big will 21 , I saw that you have 285's and you are claiming 12.5- mpg. I had the same trouble due to the 285's will put less mileage on your truck. I noticed that my truck would log 137 miles in a 166 mile trip, therefore if you figure your mileage it will be worse. 10 gallons of fuel in 137 miles vs. 10gallons of fuel in 166 miles. Dont know if this will help or not but that was my story and I am stickin to it!

I average about 14.5-15.5 all the time, predator,or edge. I am a little heavy on the throttle though. I was getting 17 regularly with my lb7. I only have about 7000 on it though so hopefully it'l get better.
